Cassper Nyovest Rants About His And AKA’s SAMA Snubs
Despite hip hop dominating the nominations for the 21st annual South African Music Awards; it seems the hip hop community is not happy about certain snubs including the leading man himself Cassper Nyovest.
Cassper went on a twitter rant on Thursday talking about how he thinks his nemesis AKA deserved a nomination for best video for his hit song Congratulate. Considering how AKA feels about Cassper, it’s surprising to watch him defend AKA or is he “defending the art?”
Cassper also believes that he deserved to be nominated for song of the year for his hit Doc Shebeleza. The first time SAMA nominated rapper said he wants answers on why the song wasn’t nominated so that he can get familiar with the SAMA rules.
One former SAMA winner who totally agrees that Cassper was snubbed is kwaito artist Arthur Mafokate, who tweeted that not nominating Cassper is trying to divide the industry.
Cassper scored five nominations for the 2015 SAMA’s and is the most nominated artist. Is Cassper right for trying to look for answers or he should just be glad he scored five noms?
