Job Purpose:
To assist IFI Relationship Managers in building and maintaining purposeful business relationships with Correspondence Banks
through operational and administrative support to the RM’s and by providing exceptional client service to internal and external clients.
Key Performance Areas:
IFI Communiqués compiled and distributed

Ensure daily IFI communications are compiled and distributed
-
Act as central portal for IFI information/news gathering and distribution
-
Conduct all routine/procedural communications with internal and external stakeholders
Multi-Currency Accounts monitored and RM informed
-
Responsible for monitoring the daily operation of MCA accounts
-
Receive daily excess and exposure report on MCA’s
-
Check excess report for accuracy/discrepancies
-
Follow-up on excess report and inform relevant Relationship manager
-
Ensure compliance with disclosure of information (AMLC’s & FICA)
Bilateral Key Exchange (BKE’s) established & Vostro account authorisation

Responsible for administration involved in the establishment of Bilateral Key Exchange agreements

Draw relevant information from Bankers Almanac
-
Ensure completion of Anti Money Laundering questionnaire and all other relevant questionnaires
-
Send out the request for a BKE
-
Establish the profile of the Correspondence Bank
-
Obtain approval from relevant Relationship Manager
-
Liaise with Security Administration
Opening and Closing of NOSTRO and VOSTRO accounts administered
-
Ensure applicable BKE’s are in place
-
Forward applicable terms and conditions for the product offering to prospective client

Handle/facilitate Nedbank internal process in instances where Special terms and conditions are required

Obtain CIS number from Treasury
-
Obtain Account number from VOSTRO/NOSTRO
-
Confirm details to Correspondence Bank and other stakeholders
-
Obtain Relationship Manager’s approval
-
Administrate closure of NOSTRO/VOSTRO accounts
Correspondence Bank queries resolved
-
Receive query escalations from Global Business Centres or from Correspondence Bank
-
Keep Relationship Managers up-to-date and informed about queries
-
Analyse queries
-
Follow-up with internal role players in order to facilitate query resolution
IFI Client database maintained

Update K-Net.

Update IFI database relating to all relevant Correspondence Bank changes, e.g. Trade Name, contact details
-
Ensure standard settlement arrangements are accurate and up-to-date
IFI Client administration processes maintained and enhanced
-
IFI Client administration processes maintained and enhanced

Maintain IFI administrative processes & procedures by ensuring these are adhered to
-
Constantly evaluate effectiveness/efficiency of the administrative processes in the department

Identify bottlenecks & shortcomings in existing processes/ procedures and bring these under the attention of the Client Service Manager and Relationship Managers

Contribute to ideas in order to improve & streamline IFI processes & procedures in terms of effectiveness and efficiency thereof

Support Portfolio & Relationship Managers with administrative/client related activities

Show a desire and ability to work cooperatively with other in the team

Pro-actively contributes to ideas and thoughts

Promote the efficient flow of communication and cross functional collaboration
Essential Qualifications:

Job Related Experience:
- Three years foreign banking experience. General understanding of Retail Business and Corporate Banking Operations. A client service orientation and strong administrative abilities.
