Ladies will agree that Maps is one of the best things to happen to South African TV! Son to the once Bafana-Bafana player Marks Maponyane, Maps just like his father grew up with the love for sports. Surprisingly though he is in a totally different field to his father. Now that the obvious is out in the open, the list below will give you an insight on one of the hottest men in South Africa.
1. Maps grew up in Protea North then his family moved to Pretoria.
2. He had a passion for sports and fashion as a child and wanted to be sports man or an architect.
3. Maps got into his line of work by writing down a set of goals in relation to what he thought he could possibly be good at and enjoy.
4. Some of the highlights of his career include corresponding with CNN ‘Inside Africa’ on their episode on Johannesburg and being a guest speaker at a Nokia Executives conference.
5. He lives by the words “… if you don’t believe in yourself then you cannot expect anyone else to.”
6. His ideal date is a cooking a meal together then having it over a great conversation.

8. Maps is currently currently studying English, French, Media Studies and International Human Rights at Wits University.
