Mindfield Design is looking for a multi-skilled individual to assist with office admin and other marketing related duties for this boutique design business.
Half day position, starting three days a week (Tue – Thu) 9:00 – 13:00 in September,
but could become five days a week from January. Working hours are flexible, but please indicate your availability in your motivational letter.
To report and assist the owner in the following responsibilities:
- Multi-skilled in relation to general office administration and duties like answering phone, bookkeeping, filing, stationary orders and general office management, keeping the office neat and tidy
- Managing the courier services and taking responsibility for accounts
- To assist with financial elements of the business: setting up of quotes, requesting quotes from suppliers, customer invoices, collections, expense management
- Ensuring all print requirements are briefed timeously to suppliers and delivered to deadline
- Proof-reading and spell checking of some communication and brand content
- Keeping the ToDo lists updated and loading new projects into our CMS system
- Keeping track of all projects and deadlines on a daily basis for owner
- Research as required
- Help with doing marketing plans when required
- This is a small business and I am looking for someone who can assist in all areas of the business, which is run from a home office in Woodstock.
- Working environment is relaxed but professional and customer driven.
- Must love dogs as we have a canine team member in the office.

Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- High level of proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel and Word
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Ability to work independently and without supervision
- Strong organisational skills
- Responsible, reliable and absolutely trustworthy
- Intelligent, with good attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with social media channels advantageous
- Minimum two years experience in a similar position
- Must be a South African national
Advantageous
- Experience with social media channels and running them for clients
- Any experience working in design software like Illustrator/Photoshop/Acrobat/InDesign
- Any experience updating text in website backend cms systems like WordPress
- Own transport
