Vacancy: GRiP Data Capturer

GRiP is seeking a data capturer. Applicants must have matric and 2 years experience. More info @ YOUTH VILLAGE.

Minimum requirements:

Qualification:

• Matric
• Tertiary diploma or degree (preferable)

Experience:

• 2 to 3 years data capturing experience in Excel
• Previous work experience as a Data-capturer is advantageous
• Data cleaning and validation experience preferable
• Previous experience in Geocoding of addresses will be an advantage

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Organise, prepare , clean address/ location data in Excel
• Geocode locations (addresses)
  • Verify and validate location data using various web or desktop tools
  • Capture the validated and verified latitude/longitude coordinates.
  • Follow specific data quality standards

Knowledge & Skills:

• Advanced Excel skills is beneficial
• Geocoding of Addresses, search and validate location information.
• Understanding and knowledge of South African places and locations is beneficial
• Know and understand applications like Google Maps, Open street maps etc.
