Taking Care Of Your Heart

We all should consider practicing the ways to prevent your heart from getting diseases. A heart disease is an umbrella term for any type of disorder that affects the heart. Heart disease means the same as cardiac disease but not cardiovascular disease. Cardiovascular disease refers to disorders of the blood vessels and heart, while heart disease refers to just the heart. That could be prevented by living  lifestyles that actually protect our hearts from such effects.

  •  Eat a balanced meal that contributes to the strongness of the heart. Healthy foods will do. Your diet should include foods that are high in fiber and low in salt. Saturated fat on a daily meal should be limited and be low as possible.
  •   At least exercise two to three times a week. This does a greater healthyheartchange in the rate of the heart and the lower blood pressure. Overall you are maintaining your weight in the process.
  •   Avoid high stress levels. This can be done by focusing your mind on things that are positive in your life and things that make you happy. You can also resort to activities that are relaxing and fun, that will take your mind away from what is giving you stress. i.e yoga.
  • Maintain a healthy weight. Being overweight strains your heart and your circulation system. Being underweight is also not healthy.heart 1
  •  Know your family’s history on high blood pressure. Blood pressure can be genetic, meaning it can run from generation to generation. You should always check your blood pressure, incase its high then you can get it treated.water-glasses
  •  Drink as much water as you can. Water keeps you hydrated.
  • Quit smoking if you are a smoker. Smoking creates a number of effects on your body. It is no way of living a healthy lifestyle.

  1. Anxiety – an unpleasant state of inner turmoil, that goes together with nervous behavior.
  2. Chest discomfort – pain in the chest is a symptom of a heart attack. Heart-related chest pains often occur around the breastbone.
  3. Coughing – persistent coughing can be an alert of a heart failure. This can be caused by an accumulation of fluid in your lungs.
  4. Dizziness – if your heart does not function well, this can be an effect.

  8. Rapid irregular pulse – when a irregular pulse is accompanied by shortness of breath, dizziness and weakness, this can be evidence of a heart attack.
  9. Shortness of breath – being breathless can be an indication of heart failure or a heart attack.
  10. Sweating – having a cold sweat is a symptom of a heart attack
  11. Swelling – heart failure can cause fluid to accumulate in the body. This can cause gaining weight or loss of appetite.
  12. Weakness – unexplained weakness should also blow you the red light that a heart attack is underway or it can occur during one.
