Vacancy: Sales & Admin assistant
Looking for a stylish candidate for our lingerie, swimwear and adult product boutique. This person should have the ability to work independently & use initiative, high attention to detail and who has excellent problem solving skills. By using these skills you will need to uphold the high standards in the store and ensure compliance to standards and operating procedures. This person will be required to work between both our stores in Sunninghill and Greenstone area in Johannesburg so must be able to travel to both areas.
The Sales & Admin Assistant will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
• Selling lingerie, swimwear, bachelorette party items, novelties, adult products
• General administration
• Maintain the store standards and adhere to company policies and procedures
• Manage the customer experience by locating and selecting merchandise – being a great sales person!
• Resolving customer complaints in your store
• Resolving maintenance and IT issues
• Be proactive in your sales approach by up-selling to influence sales
• Create style options or suggestions for the customer
• Ensure that excellent customer service is demonstrated at all times
• Provide customer with garment product knowledge relating to style, material, care instructions, price and guarantees
• Maintain store merchandising and assist in changing store displays
• Receive purchase payments and accurately handle cash, credit/debit card transactions
• Operate the point of sale terminal, cash register and card transaction machines
• Reconcile the amount of cash in register at the end of shift and bank all payments received
• Process sales and pack purchases appropriately
• Receive deliveries, unpack and re-shelve store stock and check merchandise for any possible damages
• Assist with regular stock take as well as neatly restocking shelves, tables and rails with garments
• Be vigilant at all times to minimize stock loss
• Represent the company in your personal presentation and dress
Candidate Requirements
• Must have at least 2 year’s experience as a sales person in the fashion/clothing industry (experience in lingerie would be a big advantage)
• A thorough & practical grasp of the day to day running of a store
• Administration skills including filing, faxing, emails, using a courier service etc
• Strong problem solving skills and proven ability to use your own initiative, including dealing with customer complaints
• Minimum qualification is grade 12 (please attach copy of Matric certificate to your CV)
• Must be well presented/groomed and well spoken in English
• Computer literacy – Internet, Email, Word, Excel, etc
• Outstanding leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Exude confidence, have a flair for fashion
• Must be willing to work retail hours – weekdays, weekends, public holidays etc
• Must have own reliable car or be able to work late hours with transport
• Good administration skills
• Cleaning of store
