Clicks Group is inviting applications for two Festive Flexi Shop Assistant / Cashier positions at its Clicks Southdowns store in Pretoria, Gauteng. These fixed-term festive season opportunities are ideal for Matriculants and job seekers who want to gain retail experience and develop a career in the wholesale and retail industry. Successful candidates will report to the Store Manager and help deliver excellent customer service through point-of-sale operations, cashier duties, merchandising and general store activities. The role requires individuals who enjoy working with people, communicate confidently and can create a positive shopping experience for customers. You will process customer purchases, handle cash responsibly, promote Clicks ClubCard membership, inform customers about current promotions and help maintain the store’s merchandising standards. Retail or FMCG experience will be useful, particularly knowledge of merchandising, promotions and stock management. Key Responsibilities

• Customer service delivery: Welcome customers, assist with their shopping needs and provide friendly, professional service that reflects the Clicks brand.
• Point-of-sale operations: Complete all checkout activities efficiently and accurately to ensure smooth customer transactions.
• Cashier duties: Scan merchandise correctly, collect payments and maintain high levels of accuracy when processing purchases.
• Cash handling: Handle cash securely and follow the required procedures to protect company funds.
• Clicks ClubCard promotion: Encourage customers to sign up for Clicks ClubCard and help achieve the store’s membership participation targets.
• ClubCard rewards: Process applicable ClubCard rewards and ensure customers receive the benefits linked to their purchases.
• Promotional sales: Inform customers about current promotions, special offers and product deals to encourage sales and help customers save.
• Merchandising: Assist with displaying products and maintaining merchandise according to the store’s visual merchandising standards.
• Stock management: Follow stock management procedures and help ensure merchandise is properly maintained and available for customers.
• Housekeeping: Complete general cleaning and housekeeping duties to keep the store neat, organised and customer-ready.
• Product knowledge: Stay informed about Clicks products, product ranges, promotions and upcoming events to provide accurate information.
• Team support: Share product information with relief staff and work with colleagues to maintain consistent customer service.

Requirements and Skills

• Grade 12 or Matric: A valid Grade 12 certificate is an essential requirement for this position.
