Lalela Mswane Celebrates 5 Years Miss South Africa Crownversary. Five years ago, on this day, Lalela Mswane won one of the biggest national pageant in the country. She was crowned Miss South Africa 2021 on 16 October, at Grand West Arena in Cape Town. Her first Princess was Zimi Mabunzi, and the 2nd Princess was Moratwe Masima
After winning Mswane received an array of prizes and rewards. They included R1 million, a one-year residence in a fully furnished apartment in Sandton, a one-year lease on a Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and the opportunity to represent South Africa at Miss Universe 2021. Mswane also did well in other pageants, where she represented SA. She finished as second-runner up at Miss Universe 2021 and was later crowned as Miss Supranational 2022.
To mark her crowniversary Lalela shared a series of photos from her reign. The beauty queen also shared how much of a blessing winning Miss South Africa was. She is grateful for the lessons growth and opportunities among other things.
“Five years ago today, a dream became a defining chapter of my life. π
Being crowned Miss South Africa was more than a moment of glory; it was the beginning of a journey that would shape me in ways I could never have imagined. It taught me the beauty of purpose, the weight of responsibility, and the extraordinary privilege of being entrusted with a platform greater than myself.
Five years later, I look back with a heart full of gratitude. For the lessons, the growth, the people, and the doors that opened long after the crown was placed upon my head.
The crown was a moment. The woman I became is the legacy.
Forever grateful. Forever Miss South Africa. πΏπ¦π€,” Lalela said.
