The Clicks Youth Employment Programme is designed to give young South Africans a structured introduction to the workplace while helping them build practical retail skills. Participants will take part in classroom-based learning before applying their knowledge through hands-on training in a retail store. The programme is particularly relevant to young people who are currently unemployed and looking for an opportunity to gain experience in customer service, retail operations and point of sale activities. Key Responsibilities

• Participate fully in classroom learning as part of the Youth Employment Programme.
• Complete practical on-the-job training in a Clicks retail store.
• Apply knowledge gained through classroom learning to practical retail activities.
• Gain exposure to the day-to-day operations of a health and beauty retail store.
• Develop practical workplace skills through hands-on learning and assigned store duties.
• Work effectively with team members and contribute positively to the store environment.
• Interact professionally with customers, colleagues and other relevant people.
• Develop communication and interpersonal skills through practical workplace experience.
• Follow workplace instructions, procedures and programme requirements.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop new skills throughout the programme.
• Participate in activities that support the successful completion of the learning programme.
• Work towards obtaining the NQF 2 Checkout Operator occupational qualification on successful completion of the programme.

• Applicants must be South African citizens.
• Candidates must be between 18 and 29 years old.
• Applicants must have passed Matric.
• Candidates must currently be unemployed.
• Strong communication skills are required.
• Good interpersonal skills are important when working with customers, colleagues and other people.
• Applicants must be able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Candidates must be willing to learn and develop new workplace skills.
• Applicants must not currently be registered on a learnership or skills programme.
• Candidates should be prepared to participate in both classroom learning and practical retail training.
