The Shop Assistant / Cashier position plays an important role in ensuring that customers receive professional and friendly service from the moment they enter the store until their purchases are completed. Candidates will be expected to work accurately at the point of sale, handle cash safely, assist with promotions and ClubCard activities, and help maintain attractive merchandising and housekeeping standards. Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently execute all operational activities at the point of sale in a timely and accurate manner.
• Scan merchandise correctly and ensure that all customer purchases are processed accurately.

Requirements and Skills

• Grade 12 is essential.
• Grade 12 Mathematics with a minimum of 50% will be advantageous.

• Previous experience in a customer-facing role within a retail or FMCG store environment will be advantageous.
• A basic understanding of mathematics and calculations is required.
