The Graduate Mechanical Engineer will gain exposure to the design, implementation, maintenance and optimisation of mechanical systems across commercial and industrial projects. The role combines engineering calculations, technical documentation, site work and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the design and analysis of mechanical systems for commercial and industrial projects.
- Perform thermal analysis and heat transfer calculations to support engineering designs.
- Assist with HVAC system design and related engineering calculations.
- Support duct sizing, airflow calculations and system balancing activities.
- Assist with selecting mechanical equipment according to project specifications and engineering requirements.
- Participate in the design and optimisation of industrial process systems.
- Assist with reliability engineering activities.
- Support preventive maintenance planning and mechanical equipment troubleshooting.
- Prepare engineering calculations and technical reports.
- Assist with preparing specifications, drawings and other project documentation.
- Participate in site inspections and engineering surveys where required.
- Assist with commissioning activities and project implementation.
- Ensure engineering work complies with relevant standards and safety regulations.
- Follow company procedures and quality requirements.
- Work collaboratively with engineers and other multidisciplinary project teams.
- Support the delivery of engineering solutions within project timelines and budgets.
- Take part in projects that provide exposure to different areas of mechanical and HVAC engineering.
Requirements and Skills
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Recent Mechanical Engineering graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Sound understanding of mechanical engineering principles and design.
- Knowledge of mechanical system design.
- Understanding of thermal analysis and heat transfer.
- Knowledge of HVAC system design.
- Understanding of duct sizing and airflow balancing.
