Siphesihle Vazi Bags A Role In A Hit SABC 1 Drama Series

Siphesihle Vazi Bags A Role In A Hit SABC 1 Drama Series. Congratulations are in order to Siphesile Vazi, who is back to the small screen with a new acting role. Come Monday 24th of August, the talented actor and media personality will be shinning with anew role, as a medical doctor.

Vazi is the latest cast member to joins Amalanga Awafani. He will play Dr Thokozane Jobe, a confident, charming and ambitious medical maverick who initially enters Stha’s life as her doctor. Their relationship soon takes an unexpected turn, with Thokozane becoming a potential love interest and the soft landing Stha never knew she needed. But beneath his polished exterior lies a man who likes to be in control, and audiences will have to question whether his seemingly perfect romance with Stha is everything it appears to be.

A Dream Come True

Vazi is excited for the gig, and once again getting to entertain SABC1 audience. The role also speaks volumes to him as it touches on conversations that need to be had. Vazi is also grateful for Stained Glass, as they gave him an opportunity he has been longing for, for over a decade.

I’ve been incredibly blessed to grow within the SABC1 family, from my Selimathunzi days, to producing my own show She Is DJ. Now I am joining one of the most loved shows on the channel, Amalanga Awafani. The SABC1 audience has always welcomed me with so much love, and I’ll forever be grateful for that support. Dr Jobe enters the story at an important time, touching on parental and step-parent rights, a conversation we don’t often have openly. I’m excited to be part of a storyline that can entertain but also educate and hopefully start meaningful conversations in South African homes.

A huge thank you to Stained Glass for trusting me with Dr Jobe. I’ve wanted to be part of the Stained Glass family for the longest time, and 11 years later, it finally happened. Some things really are worth the wait,” Vazi said.

Amalanga Awafani airs Monday to Friday at 18h30 on SABC1 and is also available on the SABC Plus app.
