Themba Ndaba Returns to the Small Screen With A New Lead Role. Come the 31st of August, viewers will get to see Themba Ndaba once again do is thing on TV. The legendary actor has joined the star-studded cast of a new etv Telenovela, Land of Mills and Money.

Set in the heart of Mpumalanga, this is where we find our fictitious town of Shonalanga, where the land is ploughed for the riches of the very few. e.tv is set to captivate audiences with the premiere of Land of Mills and Money, from Monday, 31 August at 7PM, only on e.tv. Ndaba has been cast as Melusi in the telenovela. With his impressive CV, it goes without saying that he is going to kill the role.

At the heart of Land of Mills and Money is Phiwe, played by Nelisiwe Sibiya, a fiercely determined young police officer who finds her world turned upside down after a fateful encounter during a heist leaves her with a secret she must protect at all costs. As she struggles to keep the truth hidden from her family and colleagues, township matriarch Mazwi Mhlongo, played by Winnie Nthsaba, sees an opportunity to use Phiwe’s secret to her advantage. However, deep down in Shonalanga, we also find a love story, a complicated one at that, where Phiwe, because of her decision at the heist, can’t be with the man that she truly loves, Muzi Mhlongo, played by Zamani Mbatha.

The show carries a stellar ensemble cast featuring some of South Africa’s most celebrated performers, including Jo-Anne Reyneke as Thembi, Sphelele Luthuli as Khwezi, Mbali Ngiba as Gog’Sindi, Kenneth Nkosi as Pastor Caiphus and Gcinile Nkosi as Mam’Dee.
