Job Overview and Responsibilities

The Permanent Part-Timer will assist the Lowveld Mall store team with daily operations while maintaining adidas service standards and following company policies and procedures. You will interact with customers, support sales activities and help ensure that the store remains organised, attractive and ready for business. The role requires flexibility because shifts may include weekdays, evenings and weekends depending on operational needs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Deliver a high standard of adidas customer service to every customer.
• Welcome customers and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
• Use effective selling techniques, including add-on sales and explaining product features and technical information.
• Work towards individual and store sales targets.
• Complete sales transactions involving cash, credit cards and other approved payment methods when required.
• Develop strong knowledge of adidas products, ranges and technical features.
• Assist with ticketing products and checking documentation against items received.
• Support the movement of merchandise from the stockroom to the sales floor.
• Assist with merchandising displays according to store management guidelines and schedules.
• Help maintain attractive and well-organised product displays.
• Maintain general housekeeping standards, including cleaning the store.
• Safeguard company assets and follow loss prevention procedures.
• Monitor the sales floor and report suspicious activities in line with security procedures and SLAP requirements.
• Participate in in-store and digital training through platforms such as Atticus and AREA.
• Develop product knowledge and understand best practices for the role.
• Become familiar with Power BI tools to better understand store performance, best-selling products and blackhole products.
• Support the management team with other store duties when required.

Requirements and Skills

Candidates should have a Matric certificate and between 0 and 1 year of retail experience. Previous fashion retail experience will be highly regarded, but it is not essential. adidas is looking for applicants who demonstrate a genuine interest in retail and customer service and who can contribute positively to a high-volume store environment.
