Veteran Actress Thembi Mtshali-Jones Shines At the 2026 International Black Theatre Festival In the US. The 18th biennial International Black Theatre Festival took place in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, from July 27 to August 1, 2026. The six-day festival is dedicated to Black theatre in the world, transforming Winston-Salem into a global performing arts hub, with more than 100 performances, a star-studded gala, workshops, panel discussions, film screenings, special events, and theatrical late-night experiences across multiple venues and stages. How cool is it that our very own Thembi Mtshali was among the attendees!
The multi-award winning actress had the time of her life breaking bread with well renowned stars. Among those she took pictures with include the phenomenal Phylicia Rashad. She is well known as Claire Huxtable, the iconic fictional matriarch from The Cosby Show. Our very own Atandwa Kani, who is a well known actor both in South Africa and internationally.
