Permanent Part-Timer Opportunity at adidas Outeniqua

adidas is looking for a passionate and customer-focused Permanent Part-Timer to join its retail team at Outeniqua in George. The successful candidate will assist with daily store operations, provide excellent customer service and support the team in achieving sales targets. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver a high level of adidas customer service and create positive shopping experiences.
• Greet customers and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
• Process sales transactions involving cash, credit and other approved payment methods.
• Assist with product ticketing and check paperwork against received stock.
• Support the movement of merchandise from the stockroom to the sales floor.
• Replenish products and ensure merchandise remains available for customers.
• Assist with developing and maintaining merchandise displays according to store guidelines.
• Use the point-of-sale system accurately while following company policies and procedures.
• Apply selling techniques such as add-on sales to increase sales opportunities.
• Explain product features and technical information to customers.
• Maintain general housekeeping standards, including keeping the store clean and organised.
• Safeguard company assets and follow loss prevention procedures.
• Monitor the sales floor and report suspicious activity to management.
• Follow security procedures and SLAP requirements.
• Participate in in-store and digital training to improve product knowledge and understand role best practices.
• Use Power BI tools to understand store performance, best-selling products and products requiring attention.
• Work with the store team to achieve sales and operational targets.

Requirements and Skills

• Matric certificate.
• 0 to 1 years of retail experience.
• A genuine passion for retail and customer service.
• Strong interest in fashion and sportswear.
• Clear, confident and positive communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently when required.
• Flexible approach to working different shifts, including weekdays, evenings and weekends.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle multiple tasks.
• Enthusiastic and positive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Confidence when assisting customers with product selection and styling.
• Willingness to learn about adidas products, systems and retail procedures.
• Previous fashion retail experience will be an advantage but is not essential.
