Chrispen Nyathi Returns to the Small Screen With A New Acting Role. Congratulations are in order to Chrispen Nyathi, who is shinning with a new role. The multi award-winning actor is part of the new star studded Mzanzi Magic drama called Stokvel Season.
Stokvel Season, follows four women, Mary, Cynthia, Bathabile and Puleng, who have been part of the same stokvel for almost a decade. Their long-standing friendship is tested when Palesa, the niece of one of the members, enters their lives and disrupts the group. Veteran actress Harriet Manamela known for her iconic role as Meikie Maputla in Skeem Saam, plays Mary. There is also Motsoaledi Setumo as Puleng, Nobuhle Mahlasela as Cynthia, Leera Mthethwa as Bathabile and Lerato Mahlasela as Palesa
Of course the cast wouldn’t be complete without the addition of some of our talented male actors. One of them is Chrispen, known for his role as Pastor Charleston in DiepCity. In Stokvel Season, he plays the interesting character of Zorro. There is also Sibusiso Madondo as Richard. We can’t wait to see them deliver as they have done with previous roles.
