Loyiso Bala Begins New Academic Journey With A Positive Outlook. A few weeks back, Loyiso Bala announced that he was going back to school. He got selected to join the 2026 Executive Programme in Media Leadership at GIBS Business School, alongside an outstanding group of media leaders from South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, and Namibia.
Starting school, more so at an older age, when you have career and family commitments can’t be easy. For Loyiso though, it’s a different story as he is ready for the journey ahead. The renowned musician and media personality started his lessons today, and is over the moon for the opportunity. He can’t wait learn, grow and engage with his peers from all over Africa.

Earlier this month, Loyiso officially announced his departure as Business Manager of Umhlobo Wenene FM and truFM, after 5 years of service. He regarded the assignment as one of the most stretching and meaningful of his career. Now he is here with another open door, and another chance to grow.
