This 12-month fixed-term programme is available at various Eskom sites, including Eskom Park (four positions), Kendal Power Station, Koeberg Power Station and Matla Power Station. Job Overview
The Youth Employment Service (YES) programme offers participants the opportunity to perform administrative support functions within Generation PTM Engineering across various Eskom sites. Successful candidates will gain practical workplace experience while supporting daily office operations and learning from experienced professionals. The internship is designed to improve employability by developing workplace skills, professionalism and administrative experience. Participants will be placed in different PTM Engineering sections depending on operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide administrative support within Generation PTM Engineering.
• Assist with daily office administration and documentation.
• Maintain accurate records and filing systems.
• Support departmental administrative processes.
• Assist with data capturing and document management.
• Prepare and organise administrative reports when required.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members.
• Follow company policies and workplace procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of company information.
• Support various administrative projects and operational activities.
• Participate in workplace learning and development opportunities.
• Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements and Skills
• Must be a South African citizen.
• Must be between 18 and 34 years of age.
• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
• A post-matric certificate or programme will be advantageous.
• Must not have been permanently employed by one employer for more than one continuous year.
• Must not be studying full-time during the year of employment.
• Must not have previously participated in or registered for the Youth Employment Service (YES) programme.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic administrative and organisational abilities.
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
