“Excited for What Lies Ahead,” Loyiso Bala Reveals His New Chapter. A few days ago, Loyiso Bala officially announced his departure as Business Manager of Umhlobo Wenene FM and truFM, after 5 years of service. He regards the assignment as one of the most stretching and meaningful of his career.
Now the award-winning musician and media personality is on to other things. Bala has announced that he has joined the 2026 Executive Programme in Media Leadership at GIBS Business School. He will be joined by other peers from countries such as Kenya, Nigeria, Namibia as well as here in South Africa. The opportunity has come at the right time for him, after experiencing a massive career shifts. Bala went on to ask for prayers from the masses as he embarks on a new chapter.
“I’m honoured to share that I’ve been selected to join the 2026 Executive Programme in Media Leadership at @gibsbusinessschool, alongside an outstanding group of media leaders from South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, and Namibia.
It comes at a season of real change for me. A season of new beginnings, new lessons, and new opportunities. I’m grateful for the chance to keep learning, growing, and deepening my understanding of the future of media and storytelling on our continent.
I truly believe God orders our steps, and I’m thankful for every door He continues to open.
