Gerry Elsdon Expresses Gratitude for the Support During Her Mother’s Funeral

Gerry Elsdon Expresses Gratitude for the Support During Her Mother’s Funeral. No matter your age, the passing of a mother is one pain that one can’t get over. That is why like Gerry Elsdon’s case, so much support is needed for the bereaved.

A couple of weeks ago, Gerry shared the sad news of her mother’s passing. She posted a beautiful memory she has had had with her mom years ago. On the caption, Gerry stated that she was waiting in line with her sisters on a Sunday evening to have their hair braided for the school week. This was a dreaded moment because her hair was so kinky. Although that was the case, this is her favourite memory because, it is those moments that they spent time together.

Gerry’s mom was recently laid to rest, and the family has nothing but gratitude for those who came through for them.

And just like that… we’ve laid Mum’s earthly body to rest, cuddled beside Dad, exactly as they always wanted. ❤️

Dad would be serenading Mum with Frank Sinatra’s “I Did It My Way.” And she left to be with the Lord HER WAY. With unwavering faith she openly declared her desire to ‘Go be with the Lord’

As we close her final earthly chapter, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude to everyone who helped make this past week beautiful.

To our Pastors, Tim and Kemi Grage, thank you for walking every step of this journey with us. You go beyond your official roles—you carried us, prayed with us, wept with us, strengthened us, and reminded us of God’s faithfulness every single day.

We love you, honour you, and appreciate you. Having shepherds who don’t only preach the love of Christ but live it so sacrificially is one of God’s greatest gifts to our family.

On behalf of the Williams and Elsdon family I declare that the Lord richly bless you both, strengthen you, refresh you, and multiply back into your lives every seed of love, compassion, time, and care that you have poured into us. May He continue to uphold you, enlarge your influence, and reward you openly for all that you do for His people.
