Job Overview and Responsibilities
• Assist in electrical building services design for commercial and residential projects
• Support design work for power distribution systems and lighting systems
• Assist with standby power systems and UPS design solutions
• Contribute to Building Management and Control Systems design and integration
• Support energy efficiency and sustainability focused engineering solutions
• Work with senior engineers on technical drawings and project documentation
• Participate in site inspections and engineering project reviews
• Assist in preparing reports, design calculations and technical submissions
• Use engineering software tools for design and modelling tasks
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical and civil engineers
• Support compliance with engineering standards and project specifications
• Learn and apply consulting engineering processes across project phases
Requirements and Skills
• BSc or BEng in Electrical Engineering
• Registration or progress toward ECSA Candidate Engineer status
• Strong interest in building services engineering and consulting design work
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems such as power distribution and lighting
• Computer literate with MS Office and Outlook proficiency
• Exposure to electrical design software is an advantage
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to work in a structured engineering team environment
• Analytical thinking and problem solving ability
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in engineering work
• Ability to manage tasks under supervision and meet deadlines
