Siyabonga Nomvethe and Wife Clock 23 Years In Marriage. Siyabonga Nomvethe is one of our sports stars who leads by example when it comes to committed relationships. He and his wife have been married for over 2 decades, and the two are still going strong.
The former Bafana Bafana star married his childhood sweetheart, Mpanza, in a secret traditional ceremony at his home in Kwa Mashu, Durban in 2002. The two have been blessed with two kids, a boy and a girl. On Sunday the Nomvethes celebrated a huge milestone of 23 years in marriage. Siyabonga took to Instagram with throwback pictures to share the great news with his online family. He posted a series of pictures posing with Mpanza, to mark the milestone.
“Happy 23rd anniversary to my beautiful wife, the mother of my two beautiful children, and my partner for life.❤️♾️ I love you.💍” Siyabonga said in gratitude.
One thing about Nomvethe, he has always been set on living a meaningful life. Seven years ago he earned a Doctorate Degree in Sport, from the St Paul Bible Institute in Umlazi, KwaZulu Natal. He was recognized for his contribution to the game, serving as a role model to youngsters and being a top goal scorer. This saw him become one of the few esteemed local footballers to earn the ‘Doctor’ title. Nomvethe joined football greats such as Kaizer Motaung, Jomo Sono and Irvin Khoza.
