MA Automotive Tool and Die (PTY) Ltd is hiring a Logistics Intern for its East London operations in Eastern Cape. This internship is designed for graduates in Supply Chain Management who want practical exposure in a high performance automotive manufacturing environment. The role focuses on developing core logistics skills, supporting supply chain operations, and gaining hands on industry experience in a company that supplies vehicle body components and systems to local and international markets.

Job Overview

The Logistics Intern supports supply chain and logistics operations within a fast paced automotive manufacturing facility. You will gain exposure to planning, coordination, and execution of logistics processes that support production and distribution. The role includes working with inventory systems, assisting with reporting, and supporting warehouse and transport coordination activities. You will also develop an understanding of export operations, supplier communication, and internal logistics workflows. This internship is structured to build practical skills aligned with supply chain and logistics career development.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily logistics and supply chain operations
• Support inventory tracking and stock control processes
• Help coordinate warehouse and distribution activities
• Assist in monitoring shipments and delivery schedules
• Compile logistics and operational reports
• Support data entry and documentation of supply chain activities
• Communicate with internal teams and external suppliers
• Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities
• Support transport planning and logistics coordination tasks
• Maintain accurate records of logistics transactions
• Participate in supply chain projects and operational meetings
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and standards

Requirements And Skills

• Completed NQF Level 6 or 7 Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly motivated and self driven personality
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a structured manufacturing environment
• Good planning and organisational ability
• Willingness to learn and develop logistics skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Basic understanding of supply chain principles
• Strong problem solving and analytical thinking ability
• Commitment to employment equity requirements (EE candidates only)
