MPC Connect is hiring an Online English Tutor for its Midrand centre in Gauteng. This permanent role focuses on delivering structured English lessons to international learners through live online platforms. The position suits individuals who are confident communicators, patient with learners and able to follow structured teaching materials in a fast paced environment. You will teach English in a professional office based setting while engaging with students from different countries. The role also involves maintaining classroom discipline in a virtual environment and supporting learners in developing grammar, pronunciation and communication skills.
Job Overview And Responsibilities
• Teach structured English lessons through live online teaching platforms
• Deliver clear, engaging and professional sessions to international learners
• Adapt teaching methods based on learner level and progress
• Use provided lesson materials and follow structured teaching plans
• Maintain professional communication during all teaching sessions
• Manage virtual classroom behaviour and learner participation
• Track and report learner progress accurately
• Support students with grammar, pronunciation and fluency development
• Work scheduled shifts including evenings and weekends where required
• Follow company teaching standards and operational procedures
• Provide a consistent and supportive learning experience
• Ensure lessons are delivered in line with curriculum guidelines
• Use basic digital tools such as Zoom, Teams or similar platforms
• Maintain punctuality and professionalism in all sessions
Requirements And Skills
• Grade 12 or Bachelor’s degree in any field
• 120 hour TEFL or TESOL certificate or equivalent qualification
• Strong command of English grammar and communication skills
• Basic computer literacy and ability to use online teaching platforms
• Ability to work on site at the Midrand centre
• Clear and confident verbal communication skills
• Strong patience and ability to work with diverse learners
• Ability to follow structured lesson plans without deviation
• Adaptability in a performance driven teaching environment
• Professional attitude and strong work ethic
• Good time management and reliability
• Ability to work under pressure during scheduled class sessions
