1. Otto Nobela first fell in love with acting while in high school. He was influenced by his high school crush, who always told him she was going to rehearsals.

2. To improve his acting skills, he then attended workshops before being spotted by Muvhango creator Duma Ndlovu, who offered him a chance to attend some of his workshops.

3. Otto gravitated to theatre where he did another two-year development programme, training at the South African State Theatre. Eventually his hard work and talent paid off in a big way. Otto found himself being picked for the movie Matwetwe.

4. Currently Otto plays the character of Tinyiko Phanuel Baloyi, known by many as Pablo on Scandal! Pablo is a gangster, who just got released from prison. He is now working with Tiro More to kill Victor Padi.

5. He is close friends with James Sithole, who plays Madala in Scandal! The two spend most time together, either working, inspiring or just unwinding.

6. A year ago, Otto and James starred in a movie titled Sabotage. It took viewers in to an action-packed story of survival, betrayal, and brotherhood.

7. The talented actor has also starred in Netflix’s popular series’ Queen Sono, The Brave Ones, Letters of hope, and Surviving Gaza.

8. Otto prefers playing a villain, something that sets him apart from his peers. To nail such roles he studied Pablo Escobar, a Colombian drug kingpin, who was shot dead in December 1993.

9. Besides acting, Otto dedicates his time to inspire communities, students, and those interested in the creative industry.

10. Although he hardly shares posts about his personal life, Otto is a taken man. A year ago, he took to social media, wishing his queen a happy birthday.
