Bonko Khoza Shares His Side of the Story Amidst Sexual Assault Allegations. Sexual assault is one of the biggest crimes in our country. It doesn’t matter the age, gender, race or status, no one is an exception.
Having noted that, Bonko Khoza is trending on both social media and the mainstream media, after sexual assault allegations were leveled against him. The multi-award winning actor and voice over artist has been accused of sexual assault by Nirvana Nokwe-Mseleku. The former Outlaws star claims that Bonko sexually assaulted her during the filming of an intense scene for Showmax’s Red Ink, back in September 2023. She alleges that clear boundaries were set and rehearsed, yet he allegedly violated them.
Nirvana corroborated her statement with emails from her management to producers at Bomb Productions. She says she reported it to police but was sent between multiple stations. Because of this, Nirvana said she has quit traditional acting, as her body is no longer a playground for showbiz.
While social media users debated on her allegations, Bonko released a statement detailing his side of the story. He started by acknowledging the seriousness of the allegations, and stated that he stands with victims of sexual assault. When it comes to the allegations against him, Bonko denies doing anything wrong. He explained how the rape scene was done, and what was discussed before everything took place, by all the parties concerned. Bonko also added that there were more than 12 crew members on set, and none of them has said anythings on sexual assault.
In another point, Bonko stated that he is aware that similar allegations have been made by Nirvana against other actors and cast members in unrelated productions. He said he found the pattern is deeply troubling.
