The latest celebrity whose child is doing amazing on her own is Buyile Mdladla. Her daughter, Basanda Lusanda Mdlala graduate is a whole 2 times degree graduate. She just bagged her Bachelor of Arts Honours, specializing in English Literary Studies from the University of Cape Town. Taking to social media, she posted pictures of herself with her family attending her graduation. Many could not help but gush over the pictures of Basanda and her famous father, Buyile.

Basanda boasts a strong academic foundation shaped by her BSocSci triple major in Politics and Governance, Philosophy, and English. Basanda’s academic interests span from feminist and Black radical thought to psychoanalysis and literary theory, and she is especially drawn to exploring how neoliberal and postcolonial realities shape identity, subjectivity, and representation in contemporary literature.
