Karen is among the hopefuls who have already put themselves out there as a potential Top Billing host. This comes after the magazine programme opened auditions for presenter posts. The media personality immediately heeded the call, and organized a top class audition. From the clip that Karen shared, one can tell that she is among the greatest to ever do it. Her eloquence, poise, charm and attention to detail definitely sets her apart from other auditions online so far.

Karen’s journey in the industry started in Sandton at Boston Media House through the Bonang Matheba Bursary Fund. Five years later, she started a fruitful relationship with YFM, when she joined the Switch Be The Next S3 Presenter Search. Her audition impressed many, and immediately she became a fan favorite. Karen went on to win, and she was rewarded with a 3-month contract at Y and an Acer Iconia M10.

Moving all the way to the top, Karen recently made it in YFM‘s newest lineup revamp. She bagged a daytime slot with the youthful radio station. As per a statement issued by the station, mid-mornings are entering a brand-new era as the beloved Karen has stepped into the 9AM–12PM slot with THE GLOW UP, taking on a leading role and ushering in a fresh chapter for the show. Her arrival marks an exciting evolution, while the station bids a heartfelt farewell to Xtremme, a long-standing voice who has been part of Y’s journey for over a decade as he pursues other business.
