- Conducting fault finding and emergency repairs on rail electrical systems
- Performing isolations and earthing procedures before maintenance work
- Constructing infrastructure including mast poles and foundations
- Rolling, sagging, and tensioning overhead wires
- Operating track machines, cranes, and maintenance vehicles
- Transporting equipment and personnel safely to and from work sites
- Completing job cards, reports, and technical documentation
- Providing on the job training and supervision to junior staff
- Conducting safety briefings and toolbox talks before operations

Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this position, you need:
- Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science
- Traction Linesman Certificate
- Valid Code C1 driver’s license with PDP
- First Aid and Firefighting certification
- Working at heights certificate
- Welding and electrical safety certification
- Train working rules knowledge
- RRV and protection certificates
You must also meet physical and medical fitness requirements due to the demanding nature of the work.
