• Performing isolations and earthing procedures before maintenance work
• Constructing infrastructure including mast poles and foundations
• Rolling, sagging, and tensioning overhead wires
• Operating track machines, cranes, and maintenance vehicles

• Completing job cards, reports, and technical documentation
• Providing on the job training and supervision to junior staff

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this position, you need:

• Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science
• Traction Linesman Certificate
• Valid Code C1 driver’s license with PDP
• First Aid and Firefighting certification
• Working at heights certificate
• Welding and electrical safety certification
• Train working rules knowledge
• RRV and protection certificates

You must also meet physical and medical fitness requirements due to the demanding nature of the work.
