Job Purpose And Role Overview

The purpose of this role is to support the InPower technical team with daily operational tasks. You will assist with generator refuelling, equipment movement, basic maintenance support, and operational reporting. The role requires physical work, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions accurately. You will also ensure that equipment and vehicles are maintained in good working condition. Reliability and consistency are key to success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

This role focuses on logistics, generator support, and workshop assistance.

Core responsibilities include:

• Managing generator refuelling schedules and diesel supply tracking
• Performing scheduled and emergency refuelling, including after hours support
• Recording meter readings and monitoring fuel usage
• Transporting tools, equipment, and materials between sites
• Assisting with loading, securing, and offloading equipment
• Supporting deliveries and collections across operational sites
• Keeping workshop areas clean and organised
• Ensuring company vehicle cleanliness and basic upkeep
• Reporting maintenance and safety issues immediately
• Logging daily travel, mileage, and operational tasks
• Supporting technical teams with general duties
• Standing by for emergency operational requirements when needed

Operational And Technical Support

You will be directly involved in supporting energy operations. This includes ensuring generators are fuelled correctly and available during outages or load shedding. You will also assist with logistics to ensure equipment is delivered safely and on time. The role requires careful handling of tools, fuel, and technical equipment. Safety procedures must be followed at all times.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Valid Code 08 driver’s licence

• Code 10 licence is an added advantage
• Basic technical or mechanical understanding
• Ability to perform manual and physical work
