Nomzamo Mbatha Bags A Major International Awards Hosting Gig. Nomzamo Mbatha is by far one of the local celebrities doing amazing things abroad. If she is not touching lives across the world with her work as a UN Goodwill Ambassador, she is rubbing shoulders with international stars hosting major awards ceremonies beyond our shores.
The award winning actress, media personality and activist is on to yet another international gig. Nomzamo has been announced as one of the official hosts for the 12th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards. She will be slaying her hosting duties alongside Nigeria’s renowned stand-up comedian and actor, Bovi Ugboma. The two take over from broadcasting legend IK Osakioduwa, who served as the face of the AMVCAs for a remarkable decade. The Nigerian personality anchored the awards ceremony from its early years and becoming synonymous with the show’s energy and prestige.
Presented by MultiChoice, Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards recognizes outstanding performances in television, film, entertainment and now in digital content creation throughout Nollywood and the entire African content.

Nomzamo joins a growing number of South African personalities, who have hosted the AMVCAs. In 2023 Zozibini Tunzi hosted the awards for their 9th edition. The former Miss Universe, actress and model held it down, alongside IK. In 2022, Bonang Matheba hosted the glitz award ceremony also alongside the Nigerian producer and media personality. Minnie Dlamini hosted the awards in 2017 and 2018.
