Mrs South Africa 2026’s New 1st and 2nd Princesses Announced

Mrs South Africa 2026’s New 1st and 2nd Princesses Announced. A month back, the Mrs South Africa organization confirmed that Verushka Singh has formally resigned from her title as Mrs South Africa 2026. The beauty queen chose to step down in order to focus on important personal priorities at this time and to prioritize her family.

This now meant that her 1st runner-up Carika Bebb had to immediately assume the duties and responsibilities of Mrs South Africa 2026. Carika then did photo shoots, and interviews to settle well into her new position as Queen. Now Talitha Oosthuizen who was the 2nd runner-up had to step up a position up to become the 1st Princess.

We are proud to officially announce Talitha Oosthuizen as our Mrs South Africa 2026 1st Princess ✨

At 43, this Johannesburg-based entrepreneur, co-owner of Bush Whisper Group, and passionate advocate for meaningful causes, represents a woman who leads with faith, resilience, and heart. Her journey with Mrs South Africa began over a decade ago where she placed in the Top 5; and her return is a beautiful reflection of dedication, growth, and a deep love for this sisterhood.

Throughout this season, @talithaoosthuizen has shown up with consistent grace, poise, warmth, and a genuine excitement for every moment of the Class of 2026 journey. She celebrates others wholeheartedly, leads with intention, and carries herself with quiet strength and purpose.

“With a grateful heart, I step into this role — not for recognition, but for purpose. I’ve found my voice, and I will use it to serve and uplift.”

While she will not represent South Africa internationally this year, as our Queen prepares for Mrs Globe in June, Talitha has already carried our flag with pride on a global stage — recently standing at Everest Base Camp, a powerful symbol of courage, endurance, and perspective.

Talitha, we honour you. And we are so excited for what’s to come ✨

We are proud to officially announce Wendy van Zyl as our Mrs South Africa 2026 2nd Princess, in line with the official audited results from @pkfoctagon

At 55, Wendy represents something truly special for this platform. Competing at the maximum age for Mrs South Africa, she is quietly and powerfully redefining what is possible for women after 50. She stands as a beacon of life, hope and reinvigoration, showing that this season can be one of growth, visibility and new beginnings.

Based in Pretoria, Wendy is a creative at heart. A ballet and drama teacher, choreographer, mural artist and interior decorator, she lives a life led by expression, passion and purpose. She is also a devoted wife of 16 years and a proud mother to two sons who are growing up watching their mother live with courage and intention.

Wendy entered this journey not to seek the spotlight, but to carry a torch for women who may have once dimmed their light for others and are now ready to shine again. Her message is simple and powerful. Women are not invisible. They are invincible.

“I’m truly humbled and grateful for the opportunity to represent South Africa, a country I love with all my heart. To every woman out there who is watching it is never too late to reclaim yourself, to shine and to dream. I am excited to step into this next chapter… let’s go!”
