Ama Qamata Bags Role In A Star Studded Action-Comedy Film. Congratulations are in order for Ama Qamata who is shinning with a new role. The award winning actress and model has joined the star studded cast of upcoming action comedy film called, Boyz Trip.
Boyz Trip follows four former college friends whose annual reunion getaway turns into a wild, high-stakes international misadventure. Their trip to Cape Town is all about brotherhood, big energy and even bigger consequences.
The synopsis reads: “Tired of their usual yearly meet-up, four college friends decide on a boys’ getaway that quickly spirals into international chaos, forcing them to rely on old bonds, questionable skills, and pure luck just to make it out alive.”
The movie stars international actors Rome Flynn, Algee Smith, comedian Desi Banks, and South African actor Siv Ngesi. Other local stars featured in Boyz Trip are the phenomenal Thapelo Mokoena, Bohang Moeko, and Ama K. Abebrese.
Ama has been in the industry for a couple of years now, and she has positioned herself well as an actress and brand influencer. She is best known for her roles as Buhle Ndaba in the Mzansi Magic series Gomora and Puleng Khumalo in the hit Netflix series Blood & Water. Ama has been in My Perfect Family, Rhythm City, Our Girl, Fight Like A Girl and Commandos: The Mission.
Ama currently serves as an ambassador for Adidas and is the Sub-Saharan Africa Ambassador for L’Oreal. Another major achievement for Ama is being in Forbes’ Africa ’30 under 30’ class of 2024.
