Thuso Mbedu Among the Women Honored At the Forbes Woman Africa Leading Women Summit. The Thuso Mbedu name should now be synonymous to awards. This is because in recent years, she has been winning major awards here at home and internationally.
Among other accolades, Thuso was named The New York Times Top 10 Best Actors of the year in 2022. The following year, the multi-award winning actress bagged yet another international award at the 23rd Annual Black Reel Awards. Thuso was crowned the Outstanding Breakthrough Actress award, for her role as Nawi on The Woman King.
On Wednesday night, Thuso who is currently in the country was among the trailblazers, change makers and visionaries recognized in a major way at the Forbes Woman Africa Leading Women Summit. For her part in the creative industry, she bagged herself The 2026 Forbes Woman Africa Entertainer of the Year Award.
