Clicks Group is seeking two motivated individuals to join their Thaba Nchu store as Shop Assistants / Cashiers. This permanent role is ideal for candidates passionate about customer service, retail operations, and creating positive shopping experiences. Role Purpose

The primary purpose of the Shop Assistant / Cashier role is to deliver exceptional service at the point of sale while supporting in-store operations. Employees are responsible for accurate scanning and processing of transactions, cash handling, and promoting Clicks’ products and promotions. This role also involves ensuring the store is well presented and customers leave with a positive experience. By contributing to operational efficiency and customer satisfaction, employees support Clicks’ vision of being the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves a combination of customer service, operational, and merchandising tasks, including:

• Efficiently executing all point-of-sale operations in a timely and accurate manner
• Scanning merchandise and collecting payment for purchases while maintaining cash handling safety
• Promoting the Clicks Clubcard, enrolling new members, and achieving clubcard participation targets
• Making customers aware of promotions to boost sales while ensuring a positive shopping experience
• Acting as a brand ambassador, being visible, and offering friendly and professional service
• Maintaining merchandising standards and general housekeeping according to store guidelines
• Keeping updated on product ranges, promotions, and events to provide accurate information to customers

Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 (Matric) is essential
• Desirable: Maths 50% and English 50% at Grade 12 level
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role within retail or FMCG store operations is preferred
