Sygnia Asset Management, one of South Africa’s fastest-growing multi-management companies, is seeking a Junior Employee Benefits Claims Administrator to join their Employee Benefits Administration team in Cape Town, Western Cape. Role Purpose and Responsibilities
The Junior Employee Benefits Claims Administrator plays a key role in ensuring that employee benefit claims are processed accurately and efficiently. Daily responsibilities include:
- Checking that all documentation received for benefit claims is complete and following up on missing information
- Processing disinvestments and payments for various claim types, including divorce, death, and retirement, within required turnaround times
- Applying for tax directives from SARS and following up on any failed submissions
- Updating claim notes and workflows directly onto Everest
- Monitoring workflow reports daily to track progress and performance
- Scanning and archiving physical documents within the department
- Capturing nomination of beneficiary forms onto Everest
- Coordinating with internal and external parties, including consultants, administrators, management, and fund accountants
- Assisting members, consultants, and other stakeholders with queries via email and telephone
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric certificate (minimum requirement)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
