Role Purpose

The Store Driver is responsible for transporting products safely to customers while maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and professionalism. The role involves handling deliveries, ensuring proper documentation, and supporting store operations by managing vehicle and product logistics.

Key Responsibilities

As a Store Driver at Dis-Chem Weskus Mall, you will:

• Safely transport products to customer locations in a timely and courteous manner
• Ensure correct products are delivered to the correct customer within the specified time
• Prioritize fridge line deliveries using cooler boxes and cold packs
• Use the most efficient routes for delivery and return trips
• Repack vehicles after deliveries to prevent damage to stock or vehicle
• Handle fragile and hazardous products with care
• Follow delivery and pickup instructions from management
• Collect store returns or inter-branch transfers accurately
• Ensure all delivery paperwork is signed and invoices recorded properly
• Maintain compliance with company vehicle policy and road traffic regulations
• Inspect the vehicle for defects and safe operating conditions before, during, and after trips
• Process payments via EFT or cash when required
• Maintain professional behavior and build long-term relationships with customers
• Report any customer complaints, incidents, or accidents to management
