Levels! Tyla Bags Her Second GRAMMY Award

Levels! Tyla Bags Her Second GRAMMY Award. Congratulations are in order for Tyla, who is among the stars who bagged GRAMMYs. The multi-award winning musician made history when she won her second Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, held on Sunday, February 1.

The award is for “Push-to-Start”, released as part of her debut album in 2024, with her music cited for blending Pop, R&B, and Amapiano. The win reinforces Tyla’s status as a global pop force. It also coincided with the announcement that her highly anticipated second album, T2, was currently in development.

With this win, Tyla makes history as the first artist to take home the award twice, following her 2024 triumph with the global smash “Water.” She has thus become the first person to win the category twice since its inception in 2024.

Tyla triumphed over a competitive group of well established African stars, among them Burna Boy with “Love”, Davido featuring Omah Lay with “With You”, Ayra Starr featuring Wizkid with “Gimme Dat” and Eddy Kenzo and Mehran Matin with “Hope and Love”.
