KB Motsilanyane Gets Fans Excited With Live Music Show Announcement. This is one announcement that many have been waiting for in anticipation. KB Motsilanyane has just let her fans know that in just a few months, they will get to see her live, performing.

The multi-award winning musician and actress will be live at The Theatre of Marcellus in Emperors Palace on the 10th of April 2026. Many of her online community responded positively to the announcement, with Somizi saying it has been long overdue.

A lot of people know KB as an actress,but she broke into the industry first as a musician. KB Motsilanyane began her musical career when she joined the South African group, Crowded Crew, who became prominent in the late 1990s. In 2001, she joined the e-TV soapie Backstage as herself; this coincided with the release of her debut album, Beautiful Vibrations (2002), which featured the hit song “O A lla”, earning her the name Mamosadi.

She started her acting career in 1999 with theater plays. After her departure from Backstage, KB played the role of Lucilla Vilakazi in the now canned Rhythm City. She became a regular cast member in the series until her departure in 2015. In 2017, she joined the popular South African Afrikaans soapie 7de Laan as feisty lawyer, Lesedi. She also starred in the second season of the series Thola as Dibuseng Makwarela. KB then played a leading role in the series Mtunzini.com as Phaphama Molefe. She was also cast as Lebo on Dream: The Lebo Mathosa Story. Currently she is slaying the role of Wendy in Genesis. Motsilanyane has earned two nominations for the Golden Horn Award for Best Actress in a TV Soap in 2008 and 2011.
