Purpose of the role

Your purpose is to deliver reliable customer service while keeping the yard organised and efficient. You help prevent stock losses, reduce loading errors and ensure customers leave satisfied. Your daily actions support repeat business, higher sales and stronger profit margins.

Key responsibilities

Your main duties will include the following:

• Loading customer vehicles, delivery trucks and transfer trucks accurately
• Stacking and counting stock correctly at all times
• Assisting with pulling stock for inter branch transfers
• Reporting stock shortages and damaged items immediately
• Maintaining cleanliness through sweeping and good housekeeping
• Assisting customers with product queries and friendly service
• Bagging stone and sand when required
• Participating in perpetual stock takes
• Completing additional tasks assigned by your supervisor

Minimum requirements

To qualify for this role, you should meet these requirements:

• Matric or equivalent qualification
• At least one year experience in a similar role is preferred
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to count stock accurately
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Self discipline and motivation
• Ability to work under pressure
• Clear verbal communication skills
• Good physical fitness and stamina
