YES Intern Buyer Opportunity at TFG Western Cape

The YES Intern Buyer role in the Western Cape offers a direct entry into the retail buying field. It targets graduates who want practical exposure in a fast paced retail environment. You support experienced buyers while developing core skills in trend research, data analysis and product selection.

This opportunity forms part of the Youth Employment Service initiative. It focuses on building workplace experience while allowing you to contribute real value to the business.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with buying administration, including order creation, amendments and sample management.
  • Liaise with the Marketing team to prepare products for photoshoots.
  • Handle ad hoc buying administration tasks as required.
  • Research emerging fashion styles and market trends.
  • Support the buying team in selecting and curating future product ranges.
  • Analyse sales data and customer feedback to support informed buying decisions.
  • Share insights and ideas to help elevate and improve the product range.
  • Collaborate with the Planning team to gain exposure to stock planning and product performance.

Qualifications and experience

  • Relevant diploma or degree in Fashion, Retail Business Management or a related field.
  • Clear interest in building a long term career as a Retail Buyer.
