Nandi Madida Gushes Over Her Daughter Being Part of the Launch of the First Ever Autistic Barbie Doll

Nandi Madida Gushes Over Her Daughter Being Part of the Launch of the First Ever Autistic Barbie Doll. Nandi Madida has always been open about both her children being neurodivergent. Shaka and Nefertiti Madida take after their mother Nandi who has always known that she was neurodivergent.

The award winning musician, media personality and podcaster has ADHD, but didn’t fully understand the effects, especially how it ties into anxiety. It’s through her kids that Nandi has come to better understand herself and see what else she still need to work on. When Nefertiti got her diagnosis as being on the autistic spectrum, that was enlightening for Nandi. More than anything, it helped the parents understand the family genetics.

How heartwarming is it that, Shaka and Nefertiti still excel, despite the condition. Shaka is doing amazing things as an upcoming artist. On his 9th birthday, he had his very first solo exhibition, which is quite a milestone. His parents were among those who went to see his work. Nandi couldn’t help but gush over her son’s talent and achievement. She further thanked Thebe Magugu for the Magugu House, where Shaka exhibited.

Now the focus is on Nefertiti who was part of a groundbreaking event. The little girl was at the launch of the first ever autistic Barbie Doll. This means a lot for Nandi, as it is shows that children on the spectrum are now taken into consideration.

So emotional and proud seeing my daughter, Nefertiti Madida, be part of the launch of the first-ever autistic Barbie doll @barbie .A powerful milestone in inclusive representation and a moment I will hold forever. 💙✨ #BarbieSouthAfrica #AutisticBarbie,” proud mom Nandi gushed.
