Masasa Mbangeni On What Kept Her Going When She Wanted to Quit Studying. Masasa Mbangeni recently graduated with honours from the University of the Witwatersrand. This makes her a two-time Wits graduate since she holds a BA in Dramatic Arts ( Directing and Performance Studies), from the university.
The multi-award winning actress, who is quite big on education vows to return back for her Masters and PHD from the same institute. Even tough she has achieved greatness, Masasa has had some struggles alongside the way. There was a time she even wanted to quit studying. The good thing though is that her best friend spoke her out of it, motivating her to go on. And now the rest is history, and Masasa is here shinning with yet another qualification.
She dedicates the recent qualification to her mother, her niblings and everyone who has carried her throughout her journey. Masasa also wished them success as we wrap up the year.
“Here! Muhle and ufundile!
I wanted to quit so many times. Truly. Until my best friend sat me down and said, “I’ve known you for over 20 years. You’ve been through so much, but lately you’ve made quitting your default setting. I need you to finish this.”
So I did.
And I’m so deeply grateful that I stayed the course.
This one is for my Mama, my nieces and nephews, and my people who have held me up in ways they’ll never fully know. May we all finish strong this year! With grace, courage and unwavering love.
Thank you for the love, kids. It sustains me. Always. 🖤🎓✨,” Masasa said.
