At 59 Years Professor Mamokgethi Phakeng Shares the Secret To Her Youthful Look. If there is ever a fountain of youth somewhere, Professor Mamokgethi Phakeng has the map to its location. Granted, she is petite by nature, but that can’t take away the fact that she works really hard to look the way she does.

On her social media platforms, Mamokgethi normally posts some of her workouts activities. One such is hiking, which she does every now and then. Mamokgethi also does swimming, Yoga, has played different kinds of sports, and overall, she is quite an active individual. Two years ago, the multi-award winning professor concurred Mount Kilimanjaro. Located in Tanzania, Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa’s tallest mountain at about 5,895 meters (19,340 feet).

One thing about Mamokgethi, she is always gracious enough to share her winning tips in general. When asked about her secret to looking this good, she mentioned a number of things, which include not drinking alcohol, maintaining a good diet as well as working out.

Some of you asked that I share my secret. Here’s a start: What I don’t do 1. I dont drink alcohol, never have & never will – unless its in medication 2. I dont eat junk food 3. I dont like sweet stuff 4. I dont like deep fried food 5. I dont like white coloured carbs What I do 1. Drink at least 2 litres of water per day 2. Drink protein shake every morning at around 11am pr later 3. Drink sugar-free drinks 4. I hike & am sufficiently active 5. I eat good carbs, the darker the better,” Mamokgethi said.
