Ok Furniture is seeking a dedicated Stock Clerk to join its Distribution Centre in Roodepoort, Gauteng. This permanent position focuses on ensuring optimal stock management and supporting efficient warehouse operations. The role is key to maintaining accurate inventory levels and smooth distribution processes.
Job Purpose
The Stock Clerk will oversee stock levels, control inventory, and support operational efficiency within the Distribution Centre. Responsibilities include monitoring stock movement, conducting stock reconciliation, and ensuring adherence to warehouse standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure correct receiving of stock in designated areas
- Maintain proper control and organization of stock
- Allocate stock accurately to designated customers
- Conduct monthly stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Report stock variances to the branch manager
- Monitor staff attendance and punctuality
- Submit time sheets and forms to the branch manager on time
- Build positive working relationships with other departments
- Assist in deploying staff to areas of greatest need
- Enforce Good Warehouse Practice principles consistently
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric (Grade 12) is required
- Supervisory skills are an advantage
- Previous experience in a similar environment is preferred
Skills and Competencies
- Attention to detail and accuracy in stock management
- Organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
- Knowledge of warehouse practices and procedures is beneficial
