Adidas is recruiting a permanent part-time team member for its Canal Walk store in Cape Town. The position focuses on assisting store management, maintaining operations, and ensuring customers receive the best in-store experience.
Job Purpose
The role involves supporting management in daily store activities while providing excellent service. You will maintain operational standards, uphold company policies, and help create an efficient and customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality customer service at all times
- Process sales transactions, including cash, credit, and checks
- Assist with receiving, ticketing, and verifying products
- Support stock movement from storeroom to sales floor
- Help set up merchandise displays as directed by store management
- Operate and maintain proficiency with the point-of-sale system
- Apply effective selling techniques to achieve sales targets
- Greet customers and help them find suitable products
- Maintain store cleanliness and organization
- Protect company assets and follow security procedures
Requirements
- Passion for retail and customer service
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work during weekdays, evenings, and weekends
- Enthusiasm and teamwork mindset
- Confidence in assisting customers with fashion choices
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume retail setting
- Matric certificate or equivalent qualification
- 0–1 year of retail experience (fashion retail experience is an advantage)
