About the Role
The Bookkeeping Intern will assist in managing financial records for multiple entrepreneurs, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all bookkeeping systems. This role is ideal for a recent Finance or Accounting graduate seeking to build a solid foundation in professional bookkeeping while learning from experienced financial mentors.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct due diligence on entrepreneurs’ financial records and ensure accurate data processing.
- Create and maintain company profiles on Pastel Partner and Sage One Cloud.
- Capture and process financial transactions, including debtors, creditors, cashbooks, and general ledgers.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and address queries from senior team members.
- Ensure VAT compliance and assist in training entrepreneurs on bookkeeping best practices.
- Participate in weekly and monthly meetings, contributing insights and progress updates.
- Maintain a high standard of accuracy and data integrity within bookkeeping systems, including Amber.
- Take part in continuous training and pass internal assessments to enhance personal and professional growth.
Minimum Requirements
- A tertiary qualification in Finance or Accounting (essential).
- Basic understanding of Pastel and Sage One Cloud software is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite tools.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
