Thomas Gumede Celebrates His Son’s Football Team’s Victory. Every parent out there, wants to see their child excel i something. Quite often, children of celebrities are expected to carry on the legacy, and also become famous. Is this going to be the case with Cebelihle Gumede?

The 5-year-old young boy is the son of Zola Nombona and Thomas Gumede. Just like his famous parents, Cebo is also oozes talent. From both his parents’ social media platforms, one can tell that he is a great footballer in the making. What is even more heartwarming is how Zola and Thomas are supportive of him. Zola onstantly share content about him playing football, and she as a doting mother all the way behind him.

This time around, Thomas took the reigns to rally behind his son. For the past four weeks he was right beside Cebo, as his team took on the Spring League Tournament. The team went on to win all the matches, ultimately becoming champs. The proud father expressed joy, hailing his son, as well as his team. Thomas also added that it’s up to Cebo what he wants to do as a career, at the moment he is happy of the lessons he is learning in his football hobby.

So proud of my little man! His team, @coach_tshiama_academy u6 won their first trophy in the Spring league tournament. The played 2 games a week for 4 weeks, won all 8 games and played the final this Sunday winning 5-2! It’s unbelievable how stressful it can get wanting them to win even though they’re still so young, all the parents had their hearts in their throats! I love that he is a year younger than his age group and he’s getting maximum exposure and game time! Whether he becomes a professional soccer player or not, the lessons he is learning through something he enjoys is so worth it! I’d like to send a big shoutout to all the parents and especially to the coahes at @coach_tshiama_academy who picked up four trophies and a silver medal,” Thomas said.
